“Devin Hester, you are ridiculous!”

Oops, he did it again. Twice actually. In the their game Sunday, the Bears’ all-universe return specialist Devin Hester returned a punt for a touchdown and a kickoff for a touchdown. Here is the video of the punt return, what a treat (sorry, no embedded video yet):

So great.

  1. I don’t think that was nearly as spectacular as some of the other returns he has had. I mean Denver basically opened up a hole big enough to drive a semi and then sent an invite to Hester to come on through.

But this guy overall is ridiculous. He has done, in 27 games, what it took the best returners in the game over 100 games to do. He has 10 kick/punt returns for TDs and that does not include the 108-yard missed field goal that he returned last season or the shocking opening kickoff return in the Super Bowl last season.

I just don’t see how you can kick to him. I know he fumbled one early in the game but come on Mike Shanahan. How can you lose a game to a guy who touches the ball under 10 times in the game? He has taken what Dante Hall did a few years ago and taken it to the next level. I know he is not going to take it back on every play but to counteract his unbelievable skill and untouchable speed teams are going to have to start punting it out of bounds and kicking out of the stadium or something.

Because if they give it to him he will do exactly what he did to the Broncos today: run right out of the stadium

  2. Check out this sweet hester site..
